Dogs wear muzzles for multiple reasons

Dogs wear muzzles for multiple reasons. This could be because your dog picks up stones, socks, sticks, and other non food items objects that could potentially cause them a serious health problem.

Or,  it could be to keep people, dogs and other animals safe. If your dog is wearing a muzzle it will help you to feel more confident as you know your dog cannot hurt anyone or another dog.

Teaching a dog to be comfortable wearing a muzzle is a useful skill for any dog as there may be an unexpected time where your dog is required to wear a muzzle. If your dog is not comfortable wearing one it can be really stressful for them.

There are lots of different types of muzzles and this is not a guide on which muzzle you should pick. Do your research and pick a basket muzzle that is safe, well fitted and suitable for your dog. The muzzle should be comfortable for your dog to wear and allows them to breath properly, pant, drink, and eat.

These videos and fun games will initially introduce and condition our dogs to wearing a muzzle and ensure the sight of the muzzle predicts something good.

Because muzzle training is so important and can be challenging, I have made these videos FREE to access.
